These are structural, heavy blooms. I cropped the composition tight to force you to look at the architecture of the petals and the weight of the seed heads. The paint is applied thickly, almost like clay, creating a surface that catches the light and changes throughout the day.
The Science of 3D Texture: We use a rare 3D Metis scanner - used by only a handful of artists worldwide - to capture the topography of the original oil paint. This data is then sent to a specialized Swiss Q Flatbed Printer, which physically rebuilds the brushstrokes layer by layer using specialized fine art ink on a solid wood panel.
