The heat of the desert floor meets the cooling sky. I used thick, deliberate strokes to build up layers of oil, mimicking the architectural weight of the cliffs. Look closely for flashes of neon orange peeking through the shadows - radiating stored heat even in the cooler tones.
The Science of 3D Texture: We use a rare 3D Metis scanner - used by only a handful of artists worldwide - to capture the topography of the original oil paint. This data is then sent to a specialized Swiss Q Flatbed Printer, which physically rebuilds the brushstrokes layer by layer using specialized fine art ink on a solid wood panel.
