The ocean here isn't just blue; it’s a churning mix of turquoise and indigo. I carved out the jagged geometry of the cliffs to give them physical permanence, while the poppies in the foreground are dotted in raised bursts of orange that vibrate against the vastness of the sea.
The Science of 3D Texture: We use a rare 3D Metis scanner - used by only a handful of artists worldwide - to capture the topography of the original oil paint. This data is then sent to a specialized Swiss Q Flatbed Printer, which physically rebuilds the brushstrokes layer by layer using specialized fine art ink on a solid wood panel.
